Join the Florida Atlantic Entrepreneurship Institute’s five-week Entrepreneur Boot Camp to gain practical tools, expert guidance, and connections to our entrepreneurial ecosystem. Students from ALL majors and colleges are encouraged to participate. Also open to faculty, staff, veterans and military-connected individuals, and the community. Entrepreneurship is for Everyone. Boot Camp kicks off September 2!
Fall Test Prep Courses Starting Soon!
Âé¶¹¾«Æ·ÊÓÆµTest Preparation offers comprehensive, affordable prep courses for the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, SAT, ACT, and General Knowledge (GK) Test, with live online and in-person options available. Fall courses are starting soon, including SAT Verbal on August 24, SAT Math on August 26, LSAT on September 1, MCAT on August 26, and GRE on September 3. Additional course options are available at www.fau.edu/testprep. Register now to secure your spot! Learn MoreThe Collegiate Recovery Community is hosting a Walk of Remembrance followed by a community awareness event. The Walk begins at the football stadium at 11am & concludes at the SO44 Rotunda. Speaker presentations begin at noon and include those who’ve lost loved ones to overdose and Âé¶¹¾«Æ·ÊÓÆµstudents who share how the CRC has supported their recovery. Local orgs provide free Narcan to all interested. Narcan is an OTC medication that rapidly reverses the effects of opioid overdose, saving countless lives.

This award is bestowed annually during Homecoming Week at the Talon Leadership and Service Awards Ceremony to a student who exemplifies exceptional leadership and service to the University. A selection committee of alumni will evaluate nominees within a broad framework of leadership, looking specifically at contributions to the Florida Atlantic community.
You can view the requirements and submit your nomination by The deadline for nominations is Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. The winner of the Student Talon Award will be announced at the Talon Leadership and Service Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. The recipient of this award will be required to be present at the ceremony to be recognized. CAI 2603 Applications of Artificial Intelligence
Offered by the College of Engineering and Computer Science, this course provides an accessible overview of the field of artificial intelligence (AI), with emphasis on contemporary techniques, practical applications, and real-world impact across multiple industries. Students will explore major areas of AI, including machine learning, generative AI, agentic systems, computer vision, natural language processing, and medical diagnosis. The course broadens participants’ understanding of AI foundations, risks, applications, ethical considerations, and societal implications. Through hands-on activities and applied projects, students will gain practical experience using AI tools to solve problems and support decision-making. Guest speakers from multiple sectors will share real-world insights on how AI is transforming their industries and shaping the future of work.

Active Threat Preparedness Seminars
The Âé¶¹¾«Æ·ÊÓÆµDepartment of Emergency Management and the Florida Atlantic Police Department will host in-person Active Threat Training Seminars on all campuses from August 17 to October 1, 2026. All students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend. Participants will learn about active threats, their impacts, campus safety resources, and practical preparedness and protective actions.
