Signature Facilities: The Laboratory Backbone

KoKo High-Performance Computing ClusterÌý(Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵJupiterÌýCampus)Ìý

A large-scaleÌýparallel computing environment serv-ingÌýas the classical backbone forÌýhybrid quantum-classical workflows. The clusterÌýprovides 7,120 coresÌýand 87 GPU accelerators (NVIDIA V100, A100, P100, and K80), enabling large-scaleÌýmolecu-larÌýsimulations, fragment library generation, crypto-graphic benchmarking, and machine learning tasks that seed quantum computations. A high-speed 10 Gb/s fiber-optic link between the BocaÌýRaton and JupiterÌýcampuses enables efficientÌýremote access and data transfer.

D-Wave Leap Quantum Cloud AccessÌý

The College has an active integration with D-Wave's Leap cloud service, providing faculty and students access to D-Wave's 5,000+ qubit Advantage quan-tum annealing system. This cloud platform under-pins multiple ongoing and near-term research pro-jects across biological sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, mathematics and statistics, physics, psychology, and urban planning, and is being incorporated into coursework across departments.

Chemistry Computational LaboratoryÌý

The Department of Chemistry and BiochemistryÌýmaintainsÌýthe TAPERSS C++ codebase—aÌýready-to-integrate baseline forÌýhybrid quantum-classical molecularÌýfolding workflows—along with classical HPC infrastructure used to generate ground-truth data and discrete-path-sampling fragment librariesÌýrequiredÌýto seed quantum annealing simulations.

Urban Planning Data CenterÌý

The Department of UrbanÌýandÌýRegional PlanningÌýoperatesÌýa dedicated data centerÌýwith file, application, web, and backup servers, NVIDIA GPU licensing, VDI infrastructure, UPS powerÌýmanagement, and high-bandwidth networking up to 25 Gb/s. The departmentÌýis actively exploring D-Wave Leap integrationÌýforÌýtransportation optimization, urban design, and disasterÌýresponse applications.

CenterÌýforÌýCryptology and Information Security (CCIS)ÌýÌý

Dedicated to original,Ìýcutting-edgeÌýresearchÌýinÌýcryptologyÌýand information security, with a majorÌýfocus on quantum-safe cryptography.
