Established at Ohio University in 1985, the mission of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for professional counselors, counselor educators, and students, is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership and excellence in counseling. It is also to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling. ( )Ìý

We promote a strong professional identity through members (professional counselors, counselor educators, and students) who contribute to the realization of a healthy society by fostering wellness and human dignity. ( )

Beta Rho Chi Chapter was established at Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ in 1996.

Our chapter continues working on re-establishing a vigorous chapter of Chi Sigma Iota by identifying individuals with qualities and commitment levels needed to establish momentum for a full year of activities.

Our chapter of active members includes current students, alumni, and faculty. We focus on promoting excellence in the profession of counseling and hope to get members more involved in professional development, community engagement, wellness and more.

Welcome to Chi Sigma Iota Beta Rho Chi! It is truly an honor to serve as President and to be part of a community that values connection, inclusivity, and growth. My hope is that every member feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged to find their place within CSI as we learn from one another, grow together, and continue making a positive impact within the counseling profession.
