Classical Studies

Classical Studies Minor and Certificate

The minor and certificate in Classical Studies is a multi-disciplinary program in the ancient Greek and Roman foundations of western culture, as well as their reception and continued (re-)development in the medieval and modern worlds. Program offerings include courses in history, philosophy, literature, languages, social and political theory, the arts, archaeology, and rhetoric.

This program will be especially valuable to students pursuing careers in law, medicine, the ministry, education, or public service. The Classical Studies Program welcomes students from any of FAU鈥檚 colleges and those who have earned degrees elsewhere.听

The minor and certificate share the same requirements. The minor is intended for degree-seeking students, while the certificate is meant for non-degree-seeking students.
