Prior clearance is needed to conduct interviews, to film or photograph inside campus buildings, residence halls/facilities, classrooms, research laboratories, or other restricted areas. Crews will be required to complete the facilities use request application forms. Requests should be submitted in writing several weeks prior to the requested date, since paperwork, documentation, and review by other departments may be required.

Employees who receive media inquiries are encouraged to let Media Relations know and should prioritize getting back to reporters as soon as possible to meet their deadlines. Photo attachments should be indicated at the top of the release, and captions should be included between the end of the release and the boilerplate. Unless prior clearance is given, send your final release to Media Relations for review and approval. Please indicate your target distribution date.
