Studio

The URP Production Studio provides students with the technology, workspace, and computing power needed to transform planning concepts into professional-quality maps, graphics, and presentations.

Created with the understanding that ambitious planning projects require both space and powerful technology, the Production Studio features 14 workstations in a secure, Owl Card-access-controlled environment. Students have access to a dedicated workspace designed to support coursework, research, collaborative projects, and professional portfolio development.

The studio's Dell UltraSharp 30-inch USB-C Hub Monitors provide the screen real estate needed to create large-format posters, maps, and 3D visualizations. The expansive displays make it easier to work efficiently in applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AutoCAD, and Esri ArcGIS Pro, with ample space for toolbars, menus, and multiple project windows.

High-performance Dell Precision workstations with dedicated graphics and professional-grade hardware provide the computing power needed for GIS analysis, graphic design, digital modeling, data visualization, and other resource-intensive planning applications. Together, these resources create an environment where students can develop the technical skills and professional-quality work products expected in today's planning profession.
