In 2016, Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵannounced an exciting partnership with Nikon, which represented a commitment by both parties to accelerating advancements in neuroscience. The Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵBrain Institute was named a Nikon Center of Excellence, becoming just the seventh designated center in the United States at the time, and joining prestigious institutions such as Princeton and Washington University.

Nikon recently renewed the Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵBrain Institute as a Center of Excellence, extending our researchers’ access to Nikon’s advanced imaging systems and technical expertise. In exchange, Nikon gains a showcase for its products and valuable feedback from our scientists. Additionally, being a Nikon Center of Excellence provides Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵwith significant visibility through an internationally respected scientific instrumentation company, and opportunities to collaborate with world-renowned research institutions.

The Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵBrain Institute, under the direction of Dr. Randy Blakely, supports the research and educational activities of more than 70 neuroscience faculty. They are driving Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵto be at the front line of understanding and treating some of our most devastating brain disorders, and Nikon’s state-of-the-art technology will continue to contribute to those efforts.
