The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) recently accepted a proposal for a Science Research Conference to be chaired by Srinivasa Subramaniam, Ph.D., associate professor, Charles E. Schmidt College of Science and member of the 麻豆精品视频Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute. The conference, titled "Nanotubular Communication Across Health and Disease," will be part of the 2027 FASEB meeting series.

"To the best our knowledge, this will be the first dedicated FASEB conference in U.S. focused on nanotubular communication," Subramaniam said. 鈥淭he response from the community has been extremely encouraging, and we are excited to bring together a broad and interdisciplinary group of investigators for this meeting.鈥

The conference will gather researchers working on tunneling nanotubes, cytonemes, membrane protrusions, intercellular organelle transfer, and related mechanisms across development, neuroscience, immunity, infection, and cancer biology. Conference organizers are currently finalizing themes, speaker titles and poster planning.

The meeting is currently planned for late July or early August 2027. Meeting co-organizers are Chiara Zurzolo, M.D., Ph.D., Pasteur Institute; Mingfu Wu, Ph.D., University of Houston; Hyungbae Kwon, Ph.D., Johns Hopkins University; and Sangeeta Nath, Ph.D., Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
