Something Wonderful: The Inherited Dreams of Raphael Bouganim & Friends of Florida Atlantic
On View: August 13, 2026 鈥 November 3, 2026听 Opening Reception: Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 4:30-8:30 pm听 This exhibition presents the work of Raphael Bouganim, whose paintings draw from memories of his childhood in Mogador (now Essaouira), Morocco. Shaped by overlapping cultural influences and early experiences of displacement, Bouganim鈥檚 work blends observation with imagination, often recalling moments of daily life, ritual, and dreamlike imagery. His compositions move between narrative and memory, combining detailed scenes with shifting, surreal elements. Through these works, the exhibition offers a glimpse into how personal history can inform artistic practice, tracing connections between place, identity, and the lasting impressions of early experience.听Artwork: Bouganim
