Esports Arena FAQs

The Florida Atlantic Student Union Esports Arena is where you can play games to your heart's content. We offer a friendly space for both casual and competitive PC gaming, console gaming, tabletop gaming, ping pong, pool, and more!

We provide free access to high-end equipment that is normally out of the price range of an average college student, as well as a place to hang out and form relationships with Owls that have similar interests as you do. We offer the ultimate college student gaming experience!

Nothing! As long as you are a student at Florida Atlantic and have an Owl Card, everything is free for use.

We offer many different consoles, such as the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS5, and more! We add new games to our library often, ask a desk attendant for a list of console games to see our full selection!

We have a rotating list of over 40 games. Log on to one of our PCs to see the full list! If what you want to play is not there, you can simply download it or ask an attendant to have it added in a future update! Our current list includes games like League of Legends, Valorant, Overwatch 2, Fortnite, and much more.

If a PC game is not free-to-play, you must already own a copy of the game to play it on our computers. For example, you can buy a game on your Steam account, then play it on our computers. We are unable to have house licenses/free licenses for paid games. However, over half of our game library is free-to-play. To save time, please have your platform’s login information ready prior to playing.

Yes! Submit any suggestions for new games to faugamingcenter@fau.edu or simply tell an attendant what game you’d like to see. We add new games to the computers on a regular basis. Note that new games may take a few business days to be approved and installed. We also only have so much digital space available for our games, so we apologize if your game is not available!

Of course! You may bring in any games, controllers, or systems you would like to donate. Donations are always graciously accepted and appreciated!

While the public may enter the Arena, material checkout and PC use is exclusively open to only Florida Atlantic Students, Faculty, Alumni, and Staff.
