Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute
Neuroscience Graduate Program
Neuroscience has reached an extraordinarily exciting stage. Disciplines such as physics, biology, genetics, chemistry, psychology, anatomy, medicine, computer science, biomedical engineering, and neuroengineering, to name a few, are now powering discoveries at a rapid pace that reveal the basis of how we learn, think, remember, love and dream. These discoveries provide hope to millions with brain disorders that better diagnoses and treatments are within reach.
The Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute developed and oversees the interdisciplinary Neuroscience Graduate Program (NGP) that unites scientists, educators and students across multiple Colleges and Departments where neuroscience faculty pursue their research, as well as the internationally-recognized research institute, , into a one of a kind training opportunity for those in the early stages of their neuroscientific careers.
We are looking for bright, motivated students who have an inquisitive mind and a passion for neuroscience research. Work alongside world-renowned faculty who are utilizing novel techniques to perform cutting-edge research in听cellular, molecular, and biomedical neuroscience;听sensorimotor, cognitive, and behavioral neuroscience; and听computational neuroscience and neuroengineering. At Florida Atlantic we believe that celebrating and valuing diversity and inclusivity generates innovative education, inspired curricula, high-quality research, effective problem-solving, and general creativity, by establishing an environment in which all students can achieve their potential.

Neuroscience Graduate Program (NGP) Year 1
Cellular, Molecular & Biomedical Neuroscience
Sensorimotor, Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience
Computational Neuroscience & NeuroEngineering
During the first year, students have the opportunity to rotate in neuroscience laboratories while pursuing a common core curriculum and attending research seminars. After these rotations, students make a final choice to join the laboratory in which they will pursue their dissertation work. We encourage you to learn about the NGP program faculty and their research.
There are also ample opportunities for students to engage in community outreach and professional development activities with program faculty and the 麻豆精品视频Neuroscience Student Organization (NSO). All students receive nationally competitive stipends ($35,000) for the academic year, with guaranteed research and teaching assistantships, 麻豆精品视频Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan coverage, and opportunities to compete for research and travel grants. Admitted students who join the NSO receive a complimentary membership in the Society for Neuroscience.
