Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ will celebrate LGBT History Month with a series of events for students and staff beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1, through Thursday, Oct. 31 at its Boca Raton, Jupiter and Broward campuses. The events are free and open to the public.

Queer Coffee Hour: Healthy Relationships
Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 4 to 5 p.m.
Heritage Park Towers, Multipurpose Room

Queer Coffee Hour isÌýan opportunity for LGBTQ+ students and allies to explore and discuss topics related to identity and inclusion.

Safe Zone Ally Training
Friday, Oct. 4 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Safe Zone Ally Training Program educates students on issues relating to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning (LGBTQ+) community and fosters allies throughout our campus. The goal of Safe Zone is to create a safe and inclusive campus environment for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions.Ìý

FAU’s annual drag show exposes participants to drag culture and its history. Locally known artists preform drag theatrically in an environment that promotes inclusion and awareness issues

Theatre Lab will present staged readings of new plays from established and emerging playwrights. These performances bring new plays to life using some of the area’s best actors with scripts in hand and will illuminate the innovative styles that are coming from the minds and imaginations of these extraordinary playwrights. Each performance will be followed with an in-depth discussion with the artists.
