Joseph S. Van de Bogart joined the University’s Office of General Counsel in 2025. He is the former General Counsel at the Florida Department of State. Prior to his government service, Van de Bogart founded and managed Van de Bogart Law, P.A., where he focused on commercial litigation and election law. Van de Bogart earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctorate from Florida International University College of Law.
