Michael Casanover joined the University’s Office of the General Counsel in 2025.  Prior to joining the University, he served as General Counsel to a family office and its affiliated companies and worked in private practice where he focused on representation of Florida community associations.
Michael is a native of Illinois. Â He earned of Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University double majoring in Accounting and Finance, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida.
Michael is admitted to practice in Florida and New York, and is an Illinois Registered Certified Public Accountant (inactive).Â
